Medical complications occur during the Egg Donation and Recipient Implantation treatment procedure. There is the risk that the donor or recipient could become ill due to the medications prescribed or a complication could arise during the egg retrieval or embryo transfer. Without this insurance, it must be decided in advance if the IVF Fertility Center and Egg Donor Agency will self insure the medical risk or require that the known risk of medical complications be contractually assumed by the program participating donor or recipient.
The Beitler Services Egg Donor Recipient Cycle Liability Insurance policy is written for the benefit of the insured IVF Fertility Center and Egg Donor Agency program participating Donors and Recipients. Medical expenses resulting from reasonable and customary medical complications related to Egg Donor Retrieval and Recipient Embryo Implantation treatment procedures are covered.
The insurance policy covers the IVF Fertility Center and Egg Donor Agency program participating recipients by protecting them from the unforeseen and costly medical expenses of matched donors that are a result of treatment procedure related medical complications. Recipients too are protected for their own medical expenses resulting from implantation treatment procedure related complications that may not be covered by their personal health insurance. Finally, this insurance benefits the Insured IVF Fertility Center and Egg Donor Agency by transferring unexpected medical expenses incurred by their program participating donors and/or recipients from unforeseen treatment procedure related medical complications that potentially may result in a claim against the IVF Fertility Center or Egg Donor Agency's malpractice liability insurance.
The Beitler Services Egg Donor Recipient Cycle Liability Insurance program is easy to administer. Each month a program Monthly Donor Recipient Report Form, identifying all participating donor recipient treatment cycles that started medications during the prior policy calendar month, is completed by the Insured Center or Agency and submitted to Beitler Services. Only the treatment cycles that require liability insurance coverage, as determined by the Insured Center or Agency, are scheduled and reported to Beitler Services.
In the event of a claim, a program claim form is completed by the Insured IVF Fertility Center or Egg Donor Agency and submitted directly to Beitler Services, Inc for prompt administration and servicing.
The Beitler Services Egg Donor Recipient Cycle Liability Insurance Policy does not mandate the accessing of any preferred provider network for required medical care resulting from retrieval and/or transfer treatment procedure related medical complications. Scheduled reported donors and recipients are permitted to receive the necessary medical care from any approved physician and/or qualified medical facility. Please refer to the policy certificate wording for a complete explanation of coverage terms and conditions.
